Nicola barely has control of her own digestive track, let alone the ability to lift her head or speak or have scheduling problems. But the people at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics apparently have great faith in her development.
They sent this letter to her, today, on her first month birthday.
Reading it, I suddenly remembered that very funny Saturday Night Live skit Toonces the Driving Cat. I just tried to Google a video to post here, but they’re all videos of the TV screen so rather blurry. But you can probably imagine the concept: a cat driving a car and not all that well.
In this case, we have a one-month old who is theoretically not only driving to her doctor’s appointment, but searching turn-by-turn directions on the Internet.
